Publisher of Week... Kevin and Ty-Andre! Read Across America 2017

Hi parents, family, and friends,

This is Kevin and Ty. We are writing about Read Across America. Read Across America is when we learned about reading and celebrated Dr. Seuss birthday. Here are some things we did for Read Across America.

The people read to us through the phone. We used Facetime and Skype to see their faces. We have a map in the class to track the places people have called from. People read in every state. Everybody reads.

  • Officer Bermudez came to read to us first. Even police officers read! She is Ms. Bermudez sister.
  • Stephanie read to us from San Jose. That is six hours away!
  • Jan read to us from Arizona. She is Kage's grandma. She has alot of flags up in her room.
  • Mrs. Beatttie's Third Grade Class read "I'm Gonna Like Me".  They live in Colorado.
  • Breck read a book to us. He lives in Chicago. It takes over a day to get there!
  • Kayla read a Dr. Seuss book to us. She lives in Washington DC. That is where the president lives.

We said happy birthday to Dr. Seuss on Thursday. We read the story Green Eggs and Ham and then we ate our own green eggs and ham. It was good. We learned that you can't say you don't like something when you haven't tried it.

We made a Dr. Seuss projects and we read "Oh the Place You'll Go". We also made hot air balloons to go with the story. That book taught us a lot about life. We did a paragraph about our life.

Thanks for reading this. We loved read across america.
